These collages celebrate the beauty of the human form.  Some of them have been created on canvas and others start as a traditional tissue paper collage on paper.  Recycled materials are used for some of the compostions, the collage created and painted on old doors or framed behind antique windows.  CLICK ON EACH IMAGE FOR AN ENLARGED VIEW AND MORE INFO!
The male figure is a contour drawing in textured paint on an old door.  It has been colored wth oil crayons.  The female figure to the left is the other half of the same door.  The surface of the hollow core door was broken away and the collage was put inside.  Above, four collages on paper have been framed using old windows.  Directly below, a collage is framed in a recycled box from candies.
Sometimes I like to collage several drawings on to the surface of an old puzzle (left and below, left) allowing some of the image beneath to show through.  The watercolor (below, center) is an abstract technique suggested by Pearlstein.  Finally, the female figure in green and yellow below combines a tissue paper collage on canvas with an added pencil contour
drawing and some accent painting in oils.
Before I began to experiment with my collage ideas I enjoyed working with oils using a more traditional technique on canvas.
Although I enjoy working from a live model, I have also created some mixed media collages for people who have wanted something specific.
